“I believe that one aspect of why I gain the trust of even the most cynical leaders is because I have gone through my own personal transformation during my career and personal life…”
Patty Franco
I decided to launch my full-time executive coaching practice 5 years ago when I realized that throughout my career, I have seen the most significant transformation not in the corporate training classroom, but rather in my 1:1 conversations with leaders and managers. Don’t get me wrong, I still see corporate training as an important aspect of professional and organizational development when there is a wide-spread need for knowledge acquisition or change management. However, I believe that when behavior change is needed, one-on-one coaching is most effective because it provides a safe psychological space for the individual to be honest with themselves, vent when needed, try out new approaches and practice them until they become innate. Also, I have found that the best way to create buy-in for personal growth (and quiet the ego) is in private.
I believe that one aspect of why I can gain the trust of even the most cynical leaders is because I have gone through my own personal transformation during my career and personal life and I am not hesitant to share parts of my journey authentically with my clients at critical moments when I think it can help them. We are all perfectly imperfect and when we can come to terms with our own shortcomings, it makes growth so much easier.
Why Patty Franco
Patty is a highly skilled executive coach with over 25 years of experience in coaching, training, talent management and leadership development. She knows what it takes for leaders in high pressure industries to thrive. Her approach to coaching is in-depth and personal. Her key strength is her ability to listen and establish a deep sense of trust and willingness to be vulnerable. This empowers her to guide leaders who are struggling with their interpersonal style to transform from being seen as difficult bosses to becoming standout leaders.
She employs the Energy Leadership and Positive Intelligence/Mental Fitness models along with various assessment tools to help uncover the barriers and root causes of habits and thought patterns that prevent clients from achieving their goals. This in-depth approach helps clients increase their self-awareness and learn to develop the capability to navigate their behaviors in more beneficial ways.
Her unique background includes 15 years of experience in Human Resources functions for Fortune 500 organizations, combined with 10 years as an entrepreneur, trainer, facilitator, and coach. Patty serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc. Westchester and is very active in her local community.
